Rotary Ethics in Business award
The Rotary Clubs of Door County (Sturgeon Bay Noon, Breakfast and Northern Door) are proud to announce they are accepting nominations for the first annual Door County Ethics in Business Award. Residents are encouraged to nominate businesses or individuals they believe to be leaders in ethical business practices by the November 1, 2011 deadline. The clubs will facilitate the interview and selection process for three recipients who daily exemplify outstanding ethical behavior within their business and community in the categories of:
1. For-profit business,
2. Non-profit business, and
3. Individual.
The selection criteria parallels Rotary’s 4-way test:
Is it the truth?
Is it fair to all concerned?
Will it build good will and better friendships?
Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
Residents are encouraged to nominate businesses or individuals they believe to be leaders in ethical business practices. The selection process will include an on-site interview. In an attempt to reveal the nominee’s overriding principles of truthfulness, fairness, good will, and mutual benefit, the interview areas of focus will include:
ethical treatment of individuals, community, environment;
personal/company improvement;
and business success.
The selection process will include an on-site interview in November. Semi-finalist announcement will be made in January 2012 and the award presentation dinner will take place on Thursday, February 23, 2012 7:00 PM at Stone Harbor Resort, Sturgeon Bay, WI .
